IPL Photofacial
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It sends controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light into the skin, where it targets pigment and redness without breaking the surface. Sun spots fade, broken capillaries diminish, and your skin's natural tone comes through.
Each session takes 30 to 45 minutes. You may look flushed right after, and sun spots often darken before they shed over the following week or two. Most clients see a real difference after the second session. Three to four sessions is a typical full course.

Medical oversight, every visit
Dr. Eric Guy is on staff, not just listed on the website. Every treatment protocol is physician-approved. That is what separates a medical spa from a beauty bar.

Questions
No. IPL works on pigment and redness, not on the structure of your face. It does not change your features, add volume, or alter how your face moves. The goal is a more even, clearer version of your actual skin. Most clients say they just look like they took better care of themselves.
Most clients notice a visible difference after the second session. Sun spots tend to darken slightly in the week after treatment, then shed. By session three or four, the skin looks consistently better, not just in a good light at a certain angle.
A full course is typically 3 to 4 sessions, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Some people with mild sun damage see great results in two. Gaby will assess your skin at the free consultation and give you a realistic plan. She will not recommend more than you need.
Minimal. You may be flushed for a few hours after treatment, similar to a light sunburn. Most clients go back to their day the same afternoon. Sun spots will darken temporarily before they shed. No bandages, no staying home. The main instruction is to stay out of direct sun and wear SPF for the week after treatment.
Results from a full course typically last 12 to 18 months. Sun exposure is the biggest variable. Clients who wear SPF consistently and come in for one maintenance session per year tend to hold the clearest results long-term.
IPL works best on lighter to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I through IV). If you have a deeper complexion or a recent tan, IPL may not be the right fit, since it targets the contrast between pigment and background skin. Gaby will assess your skin type at your consultation and be direct with you. If IPL is not appropriate, she will tell you and suggest what is. She will not treat you with something that could cause harm.
For most people, no. Treatment is 30 to 45 minutes. You can come in during a long lunch and be back at your desk the same afternoon. If you have an important event or photos coming up within two weeks, it is worth planning the timing with Gaby so your skin looks its best when it counts.
