Whether you have heard of Botox, Xeomin, or Letybo, the goal is the same: softening fine lines and wrinkles so you look refreshed, not frozen. At ABL Med Spa in Round Rock, we use two FDA-approved wrinkle relaxers called Xeomin and Letybo. They deliver the same results people associate with Botox, often at a lower cost. Here is everything you need to know before your first visit.
What Are Wrinkle Relaxers and How Do They Work?

Wrinkle relaxers are injectable treatments made from botulinum toxin type A. When a small amount is placed into a specific facial muscle, it temporarily blocks the nerve signal that tells that muscle to contract. The muscle relaxes, the overlying skin smooths out, and the lines that form when you squint, frown, or raise your eyebrows become far less visible.
The procedure itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Your provider uses a very fine needle to place precise amounts of product into targeted muscles. Most patients describe the sensation as a brief pinch, significantly less uncomfortable than a dental cleaning. There is no downtime. You can return to work, errands, or your normal routine immediately after.
Results typically begin to appear within 3 to 5 days and reach their full effect around the two-week mark. From there, you can expect the results to last 3 to 4 months before a maintenance session is needed.
Wrinkle relaxers are most effective on dynamic wrinkles, the lines that form from repeated facial expressions over the years. The most popular treatment areas at our Round Rock location include:
Many of our patients start with one area, usually the forehead or crow's feet, and then add others once they see how natural the results look. Your provider will recommend a treatment plan based on your facial anatomy and the results you want to achieve.
Xeomin and Letybo: What We Use and Why
If you search for "Botox in Round Rock," you will find plenty of options. At ABL Med Spa, we chose to carry Xeomin and Letybo instead of brand-name Botox. There is a good reason for that.
All three products are FDA-approved neurotoxins made from botulinum toxin type A. They work the same way, treat the same areas, and deliver comparable results. The differences come down to formulation and cost.
| Feature | Xeomin | Letybo |
|---|---|---|
| FDA approved | Yes (2010) | Yes (2024) |
| Price at ABL | $10 / unit | $8 / unit |
| Onset | 3-5 days | 2-4 days |
| Duration | 3-4 months | 3-4 months |
| Key advantage | Pure formulation, no accessory proteins | Newest option, fast onset, great value |
Xeomin is sometimes called the "naked" neurotoxin because it contains only the active ingredient with no accessory proteins. This purity may reduce the chance of your body building up resistance over time, which can happen with repeated treatments. It has been used in the United States since 2010 and has a strong track record.
Letybo is the newest FDA-approved wrinkle relaxer on the U.S. market. Manufactured by Hugel, the leading neurotoxin maker in South Korea, Letybo has been the top-selling brand in Korea for over seven consecutive years. It is known for a fast onset, with many patients seeing results within 2 to 4 days. At $8 per unit, it is also the most affordable option at ABL Med Spa.
During your consultation, your provider will recommend the product that best fits your goals, your history with injectables, and your budget. Both are excellent options, and you will not sacrifice quality by choosing one over the other.
How Much Does It Cost?
Your total cost depends on how many units you need, which is determined by the areas you want treated and the strength of your facial muscles. Here is a rough guide to help you estimate:
Forehead lines: 10 to 30 units. Frown lines: 15 to 30 units. Crow's feet: 10 to 15 units per side. Lip flip: 4 to 6 units. A patient treating forehead lines and crow's feet with Letybo, for example, might use around 40 units for a total of $320.
For context, the average cost of brand-name Botox in the Austin area ranges from $12 to $15 per unit. At ABL Med Spa, you get the same category of product, administered by a trained medical provider, at a meaningfully lower price point.

Many patients who come in for wrinkle relaxers discover that dermal fillers can complement their results. Neurotoxins relax muscles to smooth expression lines. Fillers restore volume that is lost with age by plumping lips, lifting cheeks, or softening the folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
At ABL Med Spa, we offer a full range of hyaluronic acid fillers and Radiesse, with options for lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, tear troughs, and more. Fillers provide immediate, visible results that last 6 to 18 months depending on the product and the area treated.
It is completely normal to start with a wrinkle relaxer and add fillers later. Many of our patients follow exactly that path. They try Xeomin or Letybo first, love the results, and then book a filler appointment to address areas where volume loss is the issue. Your provider can walk you through the options during your consultation so you have a clear picture of what each treatment can (and cannot) do.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your first visit starts with a complimentary consultation. Your provider will examine the areas you are concerned about, discuss your goals, and recommend a treatment plan with a clear cost estimate before anything is injected.
If you are ready to proceed, the treatment itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Most patients are in and out within 30 minutes total.
Before Your Appointment
- Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 48 hours if possible, to reduce the chance of bruising.
- Arrive with a clean face. Remove any makeup from the areas to be treated.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session.
- Plan to stay upright for 4 hours after treatment. Avoid lying down or heavy exercise.
After the treatment, you may notice small bumps or slight redness at the injection sites. This resolves within an hour or two. Bruising is possible but uncommon. Your provider will schedule a follow-up at the two-week mark to assess your results and make any adjustments if needed.
