The skin on your abdomen after kids. The upper arms that have changed since your forties. The inner thighs that have lost some of their bounce. These are the areas Exilis Body is built for. It is the gentlest option we offer for tightening larger body areas, and it is the right choice for clients with mild to moderate laxity, or for maintaining results from a previous skin tightening plan.
Exilis uses radiofrequency and ultrasound energy together to heat the deeper layers of skin without breaking the surface. No needles, no breaks in the skin, no recovery time. The device has a built-in cooling system on the handpiece, which is why the treatment feels like a warm massage and not a burn. Most clients can return to work, the gym, or dinner right after a session.
The treatment is built for two kinds of clients. The first is someone with early signs of skin laxity on the body who wants to slow the progression and improve the texture without committing to a needling treatment. The second is someone who has already done a more aggressive treatment like Morpheus8 Body and wants to maintain or build on those results with a gentler, more frequent option.
What makes our Exilis Body treatment different
Exilis combines two energy types at once: radiofrequency for the deeper layers and ultrasound for a slightly different depth. The combination is what makes a single session reach multiple layers of the skin. The handpiece moves continuously across the treatment area, which is why the treatment is comfortable and why it works on larger body areas without taking all afternoon.
You meet the same person every visit. Gaby plans your sessions, performs each one, and monitors how the area is responding. She adjusts the energy level and the focus zone as the treatment progresses. You are not handed off to a different practitioner between sessions, which matters more than people expect on a weekly plan.
Exilis is one of the more user-friendly body treatments on the market and that is also its limit. If your skin laxity is more advanced, particularly after a meaningful weight loss or a postpartum recovery where the skin has lost a lot of its elasticity, Exilis alone will not give you the result you want. In that case Morpheus8 Body is the better starting point, and Exilis can be used afterward for maintenance.
Every body contouring session at ABL is part of a physician-supervised practice. Dr. Eric Guy MD is on site and is responsible for the medical side. Exilis itself is non-invasive and very safe, but the medical oversight is part of why we are able to combine treatments thoughtfully when a client needs more than one approach.
What to expect at your Exilis Body session
You arrive a few minutes early. There is no need for numbing because the treatment is comfortable as-is. Gaby applies a small amount of gel to the area being treated so the handpiece glides smoothly. You sit or recline depending on the area.
The treatment itself takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on how much area is being covered. The handpiece moves in slow circles across the skin. The sensation is a deep, comfortable warmth, similar to a hot stone massage. Most clients describe it as relaxing rather than uncomfortable. Gaby checks in periodically to make sure the heat level feels right.
When the session is finished the area will be slightly flushed for an hour or two. There is no swelling, no dot pattern, no recovery. You can go straight back to work, to the gym, to dinner. Compressive clothing is fine right after a session.
Aftercare and what changes over time
There is essentially no aftercare. You can shower normally, exercise the same day, and continue your usual skincare and routine without changes. We ask you to drink water throughout the day and apply sunscreen on the treated area, the way you would on any normal day.
The first visible firming usually shows up after two or three sessions. By the end of the standard plan, four to six weekly sessions, most clients see meaningful improvement in the texture and the firmness of the area. The collagen remodeling continues for several months after the last session, so the result keeps improving for a while.
Maintenance is one session every 4 to 6 weeks after the initial plan for clients who want to keep the result. Some clients add Exilis to their routine the way other people add a facial. The treatment is gentle enough to do regularly.

Pricing and packages
Exilis Body for large areas is $350 per session. Most clients do four to six sessions, one per week, for the initial plan. Maintenance is a single session every 4 to 6 weeks for clients who want to keep the result.
If your skin laxity is more advanced, we are likely to recommend Morpheus8 Body instead, sometimes followed by Exilis maintenance. Gaby will give you a real recommendation at your consultation rather than steering you toward whichever option costs more.
Our membership program is built for clients who plan to stay in ongoing care. Ask Gaby on your consult if it makes sense for the plan you have in mind.
Frequently asked questions
Does Exilis Body hurt?
No. Exilis is one of the more comfortable treatments we offer. The handpiece has a built-in cooling system that keeps the skin surface comfortable while the heat works underneath. Most clients describe the sensation as a hot stone massage. There is no numbing required and no pain during the session.
How many Exilis sessions does the body need?
The standard plan is four to six sessions, one per week. Clients with more advanced laxity may need more, or may be better suited to Morpheus8 Body instead. Gaby will give you a real assessment at your consultation rather than locking you into a plan that is not going to give you the result you want.
How is Exilis Body different from Morpheus8 Body?
Exilis is non-invasive, no needles, no downtime, and built for mild to moderate laxity or maintenance. Morpheus8 Body uses fine needles to deliver RF energy deeper into the skin and is built for more advanced laxity, particularly after weight loss or pregnancy. Both can be part of the same long-term plan, with Morpheus8 doing the heavier lift and Exilis used for maintenance.
What is the downtime for Exilis Body?
None. You can return to work, the gym, or dinner immediately after the session. Compressive clothing is fine right after. Some clients have a mild flush for an hour or two. Most clients schedule sessions on a lunch break.
