Lip filler treatment at ABL Med Spa in Round Rock, TX

$595 per syringe

We use the RHA Collection by Teoxane, a Swiss-made hyaluronic acid filler designed to move with your face. It's softer than older fillers, which is why lips treated with RHA look natural and feel natural to the touch.

  • First-time patients: Often start with half a syringe ($350) to ease in
  • Full enhancement: One syringe is enough for most patients
  • Larger or balancing: 1.5 to 2 syringes over two appointments spaced 4 weeks apart

Financing available through Cherry. Same-day approval, no hard credit check.

Lip filler that doesn't look like lip filler

Most people who come in for lip filler want one thing: lips that look like a better version of their own. They don't want “lip filler face.” They want the version of themselves they remember from 10 years ago, or the version they imagine when their lips have a little more shape and definition.

We hear this constantly. Our job is to deliver that result. We do it with conservative dosing, the right product for your anatomy, and a willingness to say “let's stop here” before you cross the line into overdone.

Is this right for you?

Lip filler usually works well if you:

  • Have naturally thin lips and want subtle, balanced enhancement
  • Notice your top lip has gotten thinner or less defined with age
  • Want to smooth out vertical lip lines (the small lines around your mouth)
  • Want better symmetry between your top and bottom lips

It might not be the right fit if:

  • ×You're looking for a dramatic change in shape (we don't do “duck lips” and we'll tell you that before treatment)
  • ×You have an active cold sore or oral infection (we'll reschedule you)
  • ×You're pregnant or breastfeeding

If you've never had lip filler before, the free consultation is especially helpful. We'll show you what one syringe looks like on similar lip shapes, talk through what's realistic, and give you a clear picture of what we'd do (and what we wouldn't).

What to expect

1
Free consultation (15 minutes)
We look at your lips at rest, when you talk, and when you smile. We talk through what bothers you and what you'd like to change. Then we recommend a starting amount. Most first-time patients start with half a syringe, which is plenty to see a difference without committing to a full enhancement on day one.
2
Treatment (30 to 45 minutes)
We start with strong topical numbing for 20 minutes, and offer dental block injections if you'd like deeper numbing for sensitivity. Then we inject in small amounts, checking your lips in the mirror as we go. Treatment is collaborative. You see what we see.
3
Results
You'll see immediate results, though there's typically swelling for 2 to 5 days that makes the lips look fuller than the final result will. Once swelling settles around day 5, you'll see your true result. RHA filler in the lips lasts 9 to 12 months for most patients.

Why ABL Med Spa

Lip filler is one of the easiest treatments to overdo. We've corrected enough overfilled lips from other clinics to know that the difference between great results and bad results is restraint. We start small, we ask before we add more, and we tell you when to stop.

Every injectable at ABL is supervised by Dr. Guy, our board-certified physician. Our injectors do this work every week and have hundreds of lip treatments behind them. We're in Round Rock, treat in English and Spanish, and have a 4.9★ rating on Google with 100+ reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?
The lips are sensitive, but we use strong topical numbing and dental blocks if you want deeper numbing. Most patients say the discomfort is brief and manageable. The pressure of the filler going in feels strange more than painful.
How long does lip filler last?
RHA in the lips typically lasts 9 to 12 months. Lips move a lot (talking, eating, smiling), so the product breaks down faster there than in less mobile areas like cheeks.
Will I have swelling? When can I go back to work?
Yes, expect swelling and possibly some bruising for 2 to 5 days. Most patients return to work the same day with a slightly fuller look that they often like more than the final result. If you have a major event, plan your treatment at least 2 weeks ahead.
Can lip filler be reversed if I don't like it?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers (including RHA) can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is one of the reasons we don't use other types of filler in the lips. If something needs adjustment, we have options.
Will my lips look fake?
Not when they're done conservatively. Half a syringe gives subtle enhancement that most people would not be able to identify as filler. A full syringe is still natural for most lip shapes if dosed correctly. Lips look fake when they're overfilled (typically more than 2 syringes' worth) or when filler is placed in the wrong areas of the lip.
Can I get lip filler and a wrinkle relaxer in the same visit?
Yes, and we often do. The most common combination is lip filler with a small amount of a wrinkle relaxer in the upper lip (“lip flip”) for additional definition. We'll discuss whether that's appropriate for you.
What’s the difference between RHA and other fillers?
RHA (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) is designed to move with facial movement instead of resisting it. The result is filler that doesn't look stiff when you talk, smile, or kiss. It's our preferred option for lips for that reason.
What if I want to start small to see how I like it?
That's exactly what we recommend for first-time patients. Half a syringe is plenty to see what filler does for your specific lip shape. If you love it and want more, we can add at a follow-up. If you don't, you have a much smaller commitment to manage.
