Apex RF is the treatment most guys don’t bring up at dinner. It is also one of the most asked-about treatments we do at ABL. No pills, no surgery, no awkward call to your primary care doctor. A short series of in-office sessions, completely private, with real medical oversight and real published data behind the technology.
If you have been searching for “erectile dysfunction treatment Round Rock” or “non-surgical ED treatment Texas,” this page tells you exactly how Apex works, what a session looks like, what it costs, and what you can realistically expect over the next 3 months. If you have questions you would rather ask out loud than read, call us at (512) 721-0274. Dr. Guy or a member of his team will answer.
How Apex RF actually works
Apex is an FDA-cleared device made by InMode. It uses radiofrequency energy combined with vacuum technology to do two things at once:
- Improve blood flow. RF energy gently heats the deeper tissue, which signals the body to build new microvasculature (small blood vessels) over the weeks that follow. More circulation generally means better erectile function.
- Improve tissue quality. The same heat triggers collagen and elastin formation, which improves the elasticity and responsiveness of the tissue itself. This is the same mechanism we use for skin tightening elsewhere on the body, applied to a different tissue type.
Apex is not a stimulant. It does not “give” you an erection in the room. It is a tissue treatment that builds biological capacity over weeks. Most men start noticing changes around session 3 or 4 and continue to see improvement for 2 to 3 months after the final session.
Who Apex is a good fit for
- Men in their 30s through 60s who notice firmness or stamina is not what it was, but who do not have a clear medical diagnosis driving it.
- Men with mild to moderate ED who would rather not take daily medication.
- Men who have tried oral medications and want something that addresses the underlying tissue, not just the symptoms.
- Men post-prostate-related procedures who are working on recovery of function (with medical clearance from their urologist).
- Men in active wellness programs (weight loss, hormone optimization, training) who want a complete recovery and performance picture.
It is not a fit for every situation. The men’s health consultation with Dr. Guy MD is the right starting point if you want him to look at your full picture (medications, history, recent labs) before deciding whether Apex is the right tool.
What a session looks like
Sessions are private, in-office, and short. Here is what to expect:
- Arrive and check in. The room is private. You will not see other clients or be in a shared space at any point during the session.
- Brief check-in with the provider. Goals for the session, anything that has changed since last visit, any questions.
- Treatment. The Apex device is applied externally. RF energy and vacuum work together over the treatment area. The sensation is warm pressure, not pain. No anesthesia is needed and no injections are involved.
- Length: 20 to 30 minutes per session.
- Post-session: walk out, drive home, return to work or normal activities the same day. No downtime, no restrictions.
Most men do the full series as 6 sessions, scheduled 1 to 2 weeks apart. The full series runs about 6 to 12 weeks depending on your schedule.
What to expect over time
- Weeks 1 to 3 (sessions 1 to 2): not much visible change. Your body is starting the tissue response. Some men report mildly increased sensitivity early. Most report nothing yet.
- Weeks 4 to 6 (sessions 3 to 4): typical first noticeable changes. Stronger and more reliable erectile response, often quicker recovery between events, sometimes improved sensitivity.
- Weeks 7 to 12 (sessions 5 to 6 and beyond): the clearest results. Collagen and microvascular growth are visible by this point. Many men report this is when their partner notices a difference.
- Months 4 to 12: continued improvement, then a plateau. Most men do a maintenance session at the 12-month mark to extend the result rather than starting a full series over.
This is not a “results vary, take what you get” treatment. Published clinical data on RF for sexual wellness is solid, and Apex’s published response rate sits north of 70 percent for men in the typical fit profile. We will tell you at the consult whether your specific situation is in that profile.
Privacy and medical oversight
Two things we take more seriously on this page than anywhere else on the site:
- Privacy. Your visits are not on any public schedule, your records are HIPAA-protected, and the booking flow does not require disclosing the treatment to anyone you live with. If you prefer to pay differently for discretion on a credit card statement, ask us at the consult and we will explain the options.
- Medical oversight. Dr. Eric Guy is the physician of record at ABL. He reviews every Apex plan and is available for medical questions throughout the series. If your situation needs more workup before starting Apex (recent labs, medication review, urology coordination), he will tell you directly.

- ABL membership clients get consistent pricing across our men’s wellness treatments. Ask about it at your consult.
