Prefer to talk to someone first? Call (512) 721-0274. Discreet line. Gaby or our front-desk team picks up, and we keep your call private. Hablamos español.
You have probably been quietly looking into this for a while. A lot of clients tell us they searched the topic on their own for months before they ever asked anyone in person. That is normal. Aviva is not the kind of treatment most women talk about over brunch, and we are not going to make you start the conversation here either.
Aviva uses radiofrequency-assisted remodeling to address visible looseness, asymmetry, or laxity in the labia. It is an in-office procedure performed by Dr. Eric Guy MD with local anesthesia, and most women are back to their usual routine within a few days. Common reasons clients reach out: changes after childbirth, changes that have shown up with age, irritation from clothing or exercise, or simply wanting the area to look more like it used to.
What makes our Aviva treatment different
Aviva is a doctor-performed procedure. We are a physician-supervised practice with a board-certified physician on staff, which is part of why we are able to offer it at all. Many medical spas do not have a doctor on site and cannot perform this kind of treatment. At ABL, the consultation is with Dr. Guy directly, and Dr. Guy performs the procedure himself.
You will meet the same small team every step. Gaby handles your first call and walks you through what to expect. Dr. Guy meets with you for the medical consultation, reviews your history, and answers every question. He performs the treatment. The same team is here for follow-up. You are not handed off to a different provider you have never met.
We take privacy seriously because we have to. Our treatment rooms are private. Your records are kept under standard medical confidentiality. We do not post your photos, we do not share your name with anyone outside the practice, and you do not have to explain to the front desk why you are here. “Aviva consult” is how we list it on the schedule.
What to expect at your Aviva session
The day of the procedure is calmer than most women expect. You arrive about 15 minutes early to complete a brief medical update. Dr. Guy reviews the plan with you one more time before anything begins. Local anesthesia is applied so the area is numb before the radiofrequency treatment starts. Most clients describe the sensation during treatment as warmth or pressure, not pain.
The radiofrequency-assisted device delivers controlled thermal energy to the labial tissue. The heat triggers a remodeling response: the existing tissue contracts, and over the weeks that follow, the body produces new collagen in the treated area. The total time in the treatment room is roughly 45 minutes. You leave the same day.
Dr. Guy will go over written aftercare with you before you leave. We schedule a follow-up call so we can check in without you having to come back to the office.
Aftercare and what changes over time
The first few days are when you are most aware of the area. Most women take it easy for two to three days, wear loose clothing, and skip the gym for about a week. Sexual activity is paused for around four to six weeks, depending on how you heal. Dr. Guy will give you a specific timeline based on your treatment.
Visible firming begins in the first few weeks. The deeper collagen remodeling continues for about three to six months after the procedure, which is when most women feel the full result. The change is gradual, not dramatic overnight, and it tends to look like the area always did at a younger age rather than altered.
Aviva is usually a one-time treatment. Some clients choose a maintenance session several years later if they want to refresh the result, but most do not need to repeat it.
Privacy and medical oversight
Aviva is a medical procedure. That matters for two reasons. First, the only people performing it should be doctors. In Texas, this kind of radiofrequency-assisted labial treatment is within the scope of a physician, which is why our entire practice is structured around physician oversight. Dr. Guy is on site and personally responsible for every Aviva treatment we do.
Second, your information is treated with the same confidentiality you would expect from any medical clinic. We follow HIPAA. The schedule shows your appointment as a private medical consult. If you prefer to call rather than book online, our staff is trained to keep the conversation discreet, and a real person will pick up.
If a phone call feels easier than typing the questions out, call (512) 721-0274. Gaby or our team will answer, and they will not pressure you toward anything.

Frequently asked questions
Is Aviva safe?
Yes, when performed by a qualified physician. Aviva uses radiofrequency energy, not a laser, and the device is FDA-cleared. Dr. Eric Guy MD has medical training in this kind of work and personally performs every Aviva treatment at ABL. You will go over your full medical history at your consultation, and Dr. Guy will only proceed if you are a good candidate.
Will Aviva hurt?
The treatment itself is comfortable for most women because Dr. Guy applies a local anesthetic before starting. During the treatment most clients describe a warm or pressure-like sensation, not pain. The first few days of recovery feel similar to a long workout in that area. Most women take it easy for two to three days. Dr. Guy will give you a written aftercare plan.
How long until I see results?
Some firming is visible in the first few weeks. The full result develops over three to six months as your body produces new collagen in the treated area. Aviva is usually a one-time procedure. A small number of clients choose a maintenance treatment several years down the road.
Is the consultation private?
Yes. Your appointment is listed simply as a consultation. The treatment room is private. Your records are kept under medical confidentiality. Our team is used to having these conversations, and we do not make a big deal out of any of it.
