Chest hair lives at the intersection of shaving frustration and trimming compromise. Shave it and stubble shows up by day two. Trim it and the result is uneven. Let it grow and it pokes out of any V-neck. Full chest laser hair removal handles all of that. What makes full chest LHR different
Men’s chest hair is coarse and pigmented across the pec area, which is exactly what the laser is built to find. The complication is the variation in coverage. Some clients have hair across the full pec area. Others have a more concentrated central pattern. Coverage also varies between the upper and lower chest. Gabriela maps your actual coverage at your consultation and treats only the zones where you have hair. The Diode laser is the default for chest because of its depth at the follicle. For darker skin tones, the Clarity II is the alternative. Both lasers handle the chest’s range of skin texture without issue.
What to expect at your full chest session
Plan on about 30 minutes from when you sit down to when you walk out. Shave the chest completely the day before your appointment. We treat the full pec area in a series of warm snaps. The sternum and the area near the collarbone tend to feel warmer because the skin sits close to bone. Cooling on the Diode handles that. The lower chest near the rib cage is also more sensitive. There is no downtime. You walk out and continue your day. Over the next two to three weeks the treated hairs shed. Six to eight sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, lets us catch every follicle during its active growth phase. Coarse chest hair often responds faster than fine hair on other body areas.
Aftercare for full chest LHR
Skip hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 hours, since heat irritates freshly treated follicles. Loose, breathable shirts for the first 24 hours, not tight athletic compression wear. Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs for 48 hours. If you will be in the sun shirtless, the chest stays covered for 48 hours. SPF 50 mineral sunscreen on the chest going forward if you go shirtless. No exfoliating, retinoid creams, or chemical depilatories on the area for one week. Mild redness or small raised bumps at the follicle for a few hours is normal.

Most men who treat the chest also book one or two of these:
- Full Back LHR ($240). The most common pair. Same Diode laser, similar coarse-hair logic. Treating both in the same overall plan keeps the look balanced.
- Abdomen LHR ($120). If hair extends down past the rib cage, abdomen treats the area below.
- Abdomen Line LHR ($50). The trail of hair between chest and navel. A small, easy add-on.

Frequently asked questions
Does full chest include the stomach?
No. The chest treatment ends at the bottom of the pec area, near the rib cage. The abdomen is a separate $120 treatment. The abdomen line (the trail of hair from chest to navel) is a separate $50 treatment. We can add either or both to the same session if you want them included.
Will laser remove only the hair I want gone, or all of it?
All of it, in the zones we treat. The laser does not selectively target some hair and not others. If you want to keep a defined pattern (for example, a centerline) and remove only the surrounding hair, we map the zones at the consultation and treat accordingly. Once we map it, we treat what we mapped.
What about chest hair that is going gray?
Less likely to respond. The laser targets pigment in the follicle, so gray and white hairs without pigment do not respond the same way as dark hairs. Most men who start treatment in their thirties or forties get full results because the majority of their chest hair is still pigmented. If a significant portion has gone gray, we will tell you what to expect at the consultation.
Does the chest treatment hurt more than the back?
It depends on the area. The back has more meat between skin and bone, which generally feels gentler. The chest has the sternum and collarbone where the skin sits closer to bone, and those zones can feel warmer. Most men describe both areas as comparable in discomfort once cooling kicks in.
