Full face laser hair removal is the treatment most clients book once they have already tried upper lip or chin and decided they want the whole face done. The peach fuzz along the cheeks, the soft hair at the temples, the upper lip, the chin, the jawline, the sideburns. One session covers all of it. It is a different conversation than treating one small area. Full face is about your daily reflection in the mirror, not just one stubborn spot.
What makes full face LHR different
The face has the widest range of hair types and skin sensitivity on the body. Coarse terminal hair on the upper lip and chin sits next to fine vellus hair on the cheeks and temples. The skin varies from thin and delicate at the temples to firmer along the jawline. A single laser setting across the whole face would either irritate the delicate areas or barely touch the coarse ones. The Clarity II laser lets Gabriela adjust energy zone by zone within the same session: higher settings for coarse chin hair, gentler ones for the cheeks, with built-in cooling protecting every area. Her 1,000+ face treatments inform the real-time judgment calls.
What to expect at your full face session
Plan on 25 to 30 minutes including prep. We map your face into zones (upper lip, chin, jawline, cheeks, sideburns, temples) and treat each at the right settings. You will feel a series of warm snaps. The cheek and temple areas typically feel gentler than the upper lip or chin. There is no downtime. You walk out and continue your day. Most clients shed the treated hairs over the following two to three weeks. Full face usually needs eight to ten sessions because the cheek peach fuzz takes more cycles than the coarser chin and lip hair. Spacing matters: four to six weeks between sessions lines up with the active follicle growth phase.
Aftercare for full face LHR
No makeup on the treated areas for the first 24 hours. That means foundation, concealer, tinted sunscreen, all of it. Switch to a basic gentle cleanser and a fragrance-free moisturizer for two days. Avoid direct sun for 48 hours. If you are outside, SPF 50 mineral sunscreen and a wide-brim hat are non-negotiable. Skip retinoids, exfoliants, glycolic acid, and chemical peels for at least one week after treatment. Hot showers, saunas, and intense cardio go on pause for 24 hours. Some mild pinkness for a few hours is normal. If you feel a tingling sensation a day or two later, those are the follicles shedding.
Often paired with this treatment
Full face is often the “graduation” treatment after one of these:
- Upper Lip LHR ($40). If the upper lip is the only thing you are worried about, the targeted treatment is the better starting point.
- Chin LHR ($40). Same logic. Treat the specific area you care about and add full face later if your goals expand.
- Half Face LHR ($79). Covers upper lip, chin, and sideburns without the cheeks or temples. The right pick if peach fuzz is not a concern.

Frequently asked questions
Will laser hair removal affect peach fuzz on my face?
Yes. That is part of the point of full face vs. half face. The vellus hair (peach fuzz) on the cheeks and temples responds more slowly than coarser hair, but with eight to ten sessions you will see meaningful softening. The result is not bald cheeks. It is less visible facial hair that catches light, especially in selfies and on video calls.
Is full face LHR safe if I have melasma or dark patches?
Often yes, with the right protocol. Gabriela will review your skin at the consultation. Laser energy can sometimes worsen melasma if the settings are wrong for your skin type, but the Clarity II is one of the safer lasers for melasma-prone skin. We will typically run a test patch on a small area before committing to full face treatment.
How long does the full face treatment plan take from start to finish?
Plan on roughly nine to twelve months for a full eight to ten sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Some clients stretch it longer if they miss appointments. The laser still works, but the timeline extends. Consistency through the first six sessions is what makes the difference.
Can I get full face LHR while using retinoids or tretinoin?
We ask you to pause retinoids and tretinoin for at least one week before and one week after each session. They thin the outer skin barrier and increase reactivity to laser energy. Most clients pause topical retinoids during their nine-to-twelve-month treatment plan and reintroduce them once they are into the maintenance phase.
