The trail of ingrowns along the inner thigh, the red dots from a razor that did not glide quite right, the spot you missed on a quick morning shave. That whole maintenance loop goes away. What makes bikini line LHR different
Bikini line hair sits at a junction where coarse pelvic hair meets thinner thigh hair, and the skin shifts from firm to delicate along the same line. That combination is what makes shaving so prone to ingrowns and irritation here. The laser handles both hair types in the same session because Gabriela adjusts settings zone by zone. The Diode laser is the default choice for coarse bikini hair, with the Clarity II as the alternative for darker skin tones. Either way, the built-in cooling helps with the more sensitive spots along the bikini line.
What to expect at your bikini line session
Plan on about 15 minutes from when you sit down to when you walk out. Shave the bikini line area completely the day before your appointment. We provide draping. The laser passes over the bikini line in a series of short warm snaps. Most clients describe it as a fast, warm tingle rather than a painful experience, especially compared to waxing. There is no downtime. You walk out and continue your day. Over the next two to three weeks the treated hairs shed. Six to eight sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, lets us catch every follicle during its active growth phase. Coarse hair responds fast, so many bikini line clients see meaningful reduction by session three or four.
Aftercare for bikini line LHR
Skip hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 hours after treatment. Heat irritates freshly treated follicles. Loose cotton underwear and breathable fabric for the first 24 to 48 hours. Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs for 48 hours. No exfoliating, retinoid creams, or chemical depilatories on the area for one week. If you will be in the sun, the treated area should stay covered for 48 hours. Mild redness or small raised bumps at the follicle for a few hours is normal.

- Brazilian LHR ($125). The full Brazilian includes the labia and perianal region. If you have been treating the bikini line and want to commit to full removal, Brazilian is the upgrade.
- Underarms LHR ($79). Coarse hair, quick sessions, same Diode laser. Common pairing with any pelvic-area treatment.
- Full Legs LHR ($240). Once the bikini line is off the maintenance list, legs are usually next.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between bikini line and Brazilian?
Bikini line treats the visible area around your swimsuit: the sides, the V at the top, and the inner thigh transition. Brazilian treats the entire area, including the labia and perianal region. Bikini line is the less invasive option. Some clients book bikini line as a starter step before deciding whether to upgrade to Brazilian. Others stay on bikini line indefinitely because that is what they want.
Will I still get ingrowns after laser?
Far fewer, often none. Ingrowns happen when shaved hair curls back into the follicle as it grows. Disabling the follicle removes the source. Some clients see a few ingrowns clear out during the first treatment plan as old hairs work their way out. Once your treatment plan is complete, ingrowns are no longer the recurring problem they were with shaving.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes, and you should. Shaving the day before each laser session is part of the protocol. Between sessions, shaving is fine if you have hair you want to remove. Avoid waxing, sugaring, or epilating between sessions because those methods pull the follicle root, which is what the laser needs to target.
Should I do a patch test first?
For most clients, no. The Diode and Clarity II have well-established safety records for the bikini area across skin types. If you have a history of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sensitive skin, or you are not sure how your skin will react, Gabriela can run a small test patch at the consultation before booking the full session. We will not move forward if we are not confident the treatment will be safe for you.
