Free 20-minute consultation with Gaby. She will look at the area around your mouth, talk through whether Morpheus8 alone is enough or whether you would do better pairing it with a small amount of filler, and walk you through what to expect.

The vertical lines above your top lip. The fold from the side of the mouth down to the chin. The way your lipstick has started to feather. Most clients who come in for this treatment describe it the same way: the lower face changed faster than the rest, and the skin around the mouth in particular started looking like it belonged to a different person.
The skin around the mouth is some of the thinnest skin on your face, and it moves more than any other area. Every time you speak, eat, drink, smile, frown, sip from a straw, you are folding it. Over decades that folding becomes permanent texture. Sun damage and collagen loss make it worse. Filler can plump it out but does not change the underlying skin quality. Topicals struggle to reach the depth where the change has happened.
Morpheus8 for the perioral area works because it goes below the surface. The treatment uses fine needles to deliver radiofrequency heat at a controlled depth, and the skin responds by remodeling itself: more collagen, more elastin, smoother texture over the months that follow. It is one of the most effective non-surgical options for the lower face specifically.
What makes our Morpheus8 around-the-mouth treatment different
The perioral area is calibrated separately from the rest of the face. Gaby adjusts the needling depth and the radiofrequency settings to match the thinner skin and the more mobile tissue around the mouth. This is one of the harder zones to treat well. A practitioner who runs midface settings here either over-treats and causes unnecessary recovery, or under-treats and the lines do not change.
You meet the same person every visit. Gaby plans your sessions, performs each one, and adjusts as she learns how your specific skin responds. By session two she already knows what to refine. This is the reason multi-session plans look better at ABL than at higher-volume practices where you see whoever is on shift.
Every Morpheus8 treatment is physician-supervised. Dr. Eric Guy MD is on site and is responsible for the medical side of the practice. We will sometimes pair Morpheus8 with a small amount of filler for lip lines that are also volume-driven, or with a low dose of a wrinkle relaxer to slow the folding. That recommendation comes from Gaby at consultation, not from a salesperson.
The device we use is the original Morpheus8 system. There are competing microneedling RF devices and they are not all the same. The published clinical results that made Morpheus8 well known are tied to this specific device.
What to expect at your Morpheus8 perioral session
You arrive about 30 minutes early so Gaby can apply a topical numbing cream around the mouth. You sit in the treatment room while it works. By the time we begin, the area is numb enough that the treatment is comfortable for most clients.
The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. You will feel pressure and warmth and hear the device working. The area directly above the lip can feel slightly more sensitive, partly because the skin is thinner and partly because the upper lip is one of the more nerve-dense areas of the face. Gaby checks in throughout and slows down if you need her to.
When the treatment is finished the area will be flushed and slightly swollen, similar to the way you might look after a hot meal. Some clients have small dot patterns visible for one to two days. You can drive yourself home and resume most of your day.
Aftercare and what changes over time
For the first 24 hours you skip exercise, hot showers, sauna, and very hot drinks. From day two you can apply the recovery moisturizer we send you home with and resume normal cleansing. Skip retinols and exfoliating acids on the area for about a week after each session.
Most clients are presentable the next day, with the small dot pattern visible only to themselves. By day three the skin looks normal. Lipstick can usually go back on by day two or three depending on how reactive your skin is.
The first visible smoothing of the vertical lip lines usually shows up in the first two to three weeks. The deeper collagen remodeling continues for three to six months after each session. With the standard three-session plan the full result is in place six to nine months from the start of treatment.
Sun protection on the lower face is essential during the remodeling window. The lips themselves take an SPF lip balm. The perioral skin takes the same sunscreen you use on the rest of your face. We can recommend products if you do not already have something you like.

Pricing and packages
Morpheus8 for the area around the mouth is $400 per session. Most clients do three sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance is typically a single session per year after the initial plan, depending on how the result is holding for you.
If you are also bothered by the rest of the face, the combined face plus neck plus décolleté plan at $850 is usually the better value. Gaby will give you a real recommendation at your consultation rather than steering you toward a bigger package.
Our membership program is built for clients who plan to stay in ongoing care. Ask Gaby on your consult if it makes sense for the plan you have in mind.
Frequently asked questions
Does Morpheus8 around the mouth hurt?
The treatment is comfortable for most clients because we apply topical numbing for about 30 minutes before starting. The sensation during treatment is pressure and warmth. The upper lip area can feel slightly more sensitive than the rest of the face. Gaby checks in with you throughout and adjusts if you need her to.
Will Morpheus8 alone get rid of my lip lines?
It depends on how the lines formed. If your vertical lip lines are driven by repetitive motion and collagen loss, Morpheus8 is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for them. If they are mostly volume loss, a small amount of filler is often a better complement. Gaby will tell you at your consultation which one, or which combination, is right for you.
What is the downtime for Morpheus8 around the mouth?
Most clients are presentable the next day with the small dot pattern visible only to themselves. By day three the skin looks normal. You skip exercise, hot showers, sauna, and very hot drinks for the first 24 hours. Lipstick usually goes back on by day two or three.
When will I see results on my lip lines?
The first visible smoothing usually shows up two to three weeks after a session. The deeper collagen remodeling continues for three to six months. With the standard three-session plan, the full result is in place around six to nine months from the start of your plan.
